Free Returns Window (For Any Reason!)
Most products on the platform may be returned within 30 calendar days after the actual delivery or estimated delivery of the product, and we'll even cover the cost of your return shipping.
The return details for each specific product will be defined on the product detail page. Returns are not eligible starting on the 31st day after delivery and beyond.
The exception to this rule is for the holiday season at the end of the year. For all purchases that are delivered in November and December, they can be returned through January 31st. The actual procedure for obtaining your refund is dependent on the type of return as defined by the seller (see below).
Start a Return and Get a Shipping Label or QR Code
All returns can be started by going to the Orders & Returns page as seen in your dropdown menu. Find the recent order containing the product that you wish to return and you will see several buttons on the right hand side that represent various actions that you can take for that product.
Once you complete the return initiation process, you will most often be given the choice of a:
- pre-paid shipping label to be applied to your sealed return package
- QR code to be shown to your local UPS store so they can print your label and apply to your sealed return packages
You must package your item in the original packaging (if able) and seal it before handing it over to your nearest UPS store.
That all being said, we have an amazing group of American-owned and local businesses that pride themselves on providing outstanding customer service and are by far the most knowledgable in regards to their products. We strongly encourage you to click Contact seller first for a potential resolution that may save you time from mailing the item back and give them an opportunity to impress you with their service. However if you find that you must return the item, you will see the Initiate return button available where you may start the return process if you are still within the return window.
No Return Authorization Needed
Please note that all returns are automatically authorized by our sellers for any reason. It is one of the requirements of selling on Rivly.
In return for this generous return policy, it is mandatory to be completely honest, select a return reason, and provide a brief explanation that details the reason for the return. While the seller is not able to refuse a return for any reason, our sellers are eager to obtain any information that they can to improve their customer experience and your candid information will assist in this matter.
Return Types
There are three types of returns on Rivly:
- Returnable items - you will be given a pre-paid mailing label to ship the item back to the seller and your refund will be processed once the carrier receives/scans your package
- Returnless items - the seller has said that you do not need to ship the item back and your refund will be processed immediately
- Unreturnable items - very few items on Rivly are not returnable, though certain food items, personal products and others may fall into this category and it will be displayed on the product detail page. These items are not able to be returned/refunded unless they are defective.

Return Abuse
In addition to tirelessly tracking metrics for our sellers to make sure that we hold them to the highest standards, we also track metrics for our shoppers. Rivly is built with features to promote honesty and integrity for both sellers and shoppers. For this reason, shoppers that are found to be repeatedly abusing our generous return policies outside the norms of our community will risk being permanently banned from our platform.
